Editorial policy
This publication makes specific, checkable claims about named companies. That obliges it to say where those claims come from, how they are produced, and what happens when one of them is wrong.
Sourcing
Analysis is written from primary sources: a firm's own challenge terms, rule pages, payout policy and platform listings, read at the time of writing. Every article lists those pages under Sources, so a reader can check a figure against the document it came from rather than taking our word for it. Where a firm does not publish something, we say it is not published — we do not fill the gap with an assumption, and an absent term is never reported as a term of zero.
AI disclosure
Drafting on this site is AI-assisted. Source material is gathered from the firms' published documentation, a draft is produced from that material, and the result is published under the publication's editorial responsibility with its sources attached. That is also why articles carry an Editorial Team byline rather than a person's name: presenting this work as the reporting of a named journalist would misrepresent how it was made.
What we do not do
- We do not invent authors, biographies, or quotes.
- We do not publish stock photography dressed as reporting. Article images are typographic title cards, not photographs of places or people we have not seen.
- We do not sell evaluations, operate a prop firm, accept deposits, or give personalised financial advice.
- We do not accept payment for coverage, for favourable conclusions, or for omission.
Dates and freshness
Every article shows the date it was published. A last fact-checked date appears only where the piece was genuinely revised after publication; its absence means the article stands as first published. Prop firm terms change often, so treat any figure as accurate as of the date shown and verify live terms with the firm before spending money. Current firm data is maintained at Prop Firm Pal.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we correct the article and log it. See corrections for the process and the log, or write to contact@thepropstandard.com.
Independence and ownership
This publication is part of a small network of prop trading sites, which is named in full on our about page. Some firms in that network's data set carry affiliate links. Editorial conclusions here are not for sale and are not reviewed by any firm before publication.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the figures in your articles come from?
From the firms’ own published documentation — challenge terms, rule pages, payout policies and platform listings — read at the time of writing. The pages used are listed under Sources at the foot of each article so any figure can be traced back to its origin.
Do you use AI to write articles?
Drafting is AI-assisted. Source material is gathered from firms’ published documentation, a draft is generated from it, and the piece is published under the publication’s editorial responsibility with its sources listed. We do not present AI-assisted work as the reporting of a named journalist, which is why articles carry an Editorial Team byline.
Do prop firms pay for coverage or influence what you publish?
No firm pays to be covered, to be covered favourably, or to be left out. The publication is part of a network that earns affiliate commission on some firms, which is disclosed on the about page; commercial relationships do not determine what is analysed or what the analysis concludes.
How do I get something corrected?
Email contact@thepropstandard.com with the article and what is wrong. Substantive corrections are made on the article and logged on the corrections page with the date and what changed.
